What type of local registered address is needed to open a company in Singapore?
The local address is one of the minimum requirements for
opening a company in Singapore. Registered Address Singapore should have a physical
address and a physical place, not just a mailbox (PO Box). Residential
addresses can be used as a business address within the Home Office scheme.
However, before the Housing Development Committee (for HDB flats) or the Urban
Planning Authority (for private property), they are authorized to use a
residential office (ownership or rental) for using a home office.
Do I have to invest $ 50,000 to register my business in Singapore?
Only foreigners who convert to
Singapore under the Singapore Entrepreneur Pass Scheme need to invest at least
$ 50,000 in capital funded by Company Incorporation at the time of Company
Incorporation.
Local entrepreneurs (such as
Singaporeans and permanent residents of Singapore) and foreign entrepreneurs
who migrate to Singapore under the Swiss employment system do not have to
invest $ 50,000 to register their business in Singapore. At the moment of
registration of a company in Singapore, the payment of only $ 1 of paid-up
capital is only for private investments.
Who can work as a Singapore company?
To work as a company secretary in a Singapore company, a
person should be:
- Natural person;
- A resident of Singapore (such as a citizen of Singapore, a resident of Singapore, or an alien who has received a work permit or passport for independence);
- A person familiar with the Singapore Company Law (S) should have the necessary experience to perform the function of a company secretary.
Keep in mind that a person who is
the only company director cannot work as a company secretary. In addition, the
private company is not obliged to appoint a qualified person as a secretary to
the company, as long as the ACRA Secretary in Singapore, ACRA. In other words,
a Singapore limited liability company is not required to appoint a public
accountant or a secretary of a company certified by the Singapore Association
of Chartered Secretaries and the Administrator of the Institute.
