How do I get an e-commerce license in Dubai?
According to a survey by Google
that 91.9% of the UAE population has access to the Internet, Dubai is now able
to earn money through its e-commerce business due to increased use of the
Internet and favorable tax environments. To obtain an e-commerce license in
Dubai, you must follow these steps:
Determine the legal framework for your business
The first step in getting an
e-commerce license in Dubai is to determine the legal structure of your
business. In general, we decide whether to establish LLCs (limited liability
companies), private companies, parent company branches, representative offices,
and so on. LLC formation and branch offices are common in Dubai because of the
effective benefit groups.
Select place
This is where you want your
license, not your place to build a store or office. There are two types of
zones in Dubai. (1) free zone and (2) mainland. Free zones allow 100% ownership
of the company. For the mainland, you must be a local sponsor who owns less
than 51% and the rest is yours. Likewise, both areas are some of the advantages
and disadvantages of the area. You need to take care of all the factors and
decide where to find your online business.
Commercial name registration
Because it does not really exist
in your business, choose a name that people can easily remember. Using the
brand name as your domain name makes it easy for people to find your company
online. Please make sure your domain name is not the same as another existing
company because it may have legal implications.
Applying for a license
Once you have decided on a place,
you must apply for an e-commerce license. The Department of Economic
Development issues this license. It is therefore important to contact first.
For companies established in the mainland, you must register for commercial
name registration, initial approval and license. You have to pay around
AED10,000. If you wish to establish a free zone, you must obtain a license from
each Free zone Authority. The type of license issued depends on the type of
online business.
Application for Initial Approval Certificate
There is an initial approval
certification body, NOC, to start an e-commerce business in Dubai. Validity is
6 months and cannot be renewed. Anyone can apply for an initial approval
certificate when submitting their business name approval application.
Simulation and local service personnel compromise drafts
Make a memorandum with the
sponsor and send D.E.D. You should follow these steps if you choose your company
location on the mainland. All law firms can enter a memorandum that requires
that all partners have a special contract and ownership percentage. Companies
that have established free zones can leave this step.
Real office registration in Dubai
The next step is to open a real
office in Dubai. Because Dubai officials have obliged the company to have a
position to be considered a legitimate company.
Final approval of license
Once you have completed all of
the above, you will receive a business license within 1-7 days based on this
permission.
Import / Export Requirements
Your business must register with
the port and customs authorities to obtain the importer code. The UAE will
impose a 5% tariff on imported goods entering the free zone and will not export
because they have to sell goods / services in free zones.
Opening a corporate bank account
Once you successfully apply for
an e-business business license and establish a business, you can open an
enterprise bank account. Because the application process is quick and simple,
you need to determine which bank you need.
